These three ceramic skaters are almost flat, but they have a three dimensional look thanks to their lively poses and some bas-relief detail. They’ll be part of my entry in the 2010 Festival of Trees at the Electric City Trolley Museum in Scranton. The theme this year is “Celebrating Northeast Pennsylvania Living” so I’m going to gather all my skating, skiing and sledding penguins and decorate a tree to celebrate winter sports. The event, which runs for about a month, benefits Toys for Tots and the museum. It also provides a nice way for people to take a break from the holiday hubbub.
