Flattened satin

This is one of several satin ornaments in the collection. It’s feet and beak are made of felt and it’s wearing a knitted scarf. The beady button eyes pinch the head into a distinctive flattened shape.

Star power

If the bold plaid scarf doesn’t win you over, how about that little grin? My sister Xena found this one for me and it’s always been a favorite. For many years, until I found the angel in Cooperstown, I would hang this penguin at the top of the tree because his outstretched wings and feet give him a kind of a star shape.
